Competition Rules & Requirements

Please review all rules and requirements carefully before participating.

Eligibility Requirements

Must be aged 8-17 years at time of registration
Must be a Canadian resident or citizen
Can participate individually or in teams of up to 3 members
Parent/guardian consent required for participants under 13
One submission per participant/team allowed

Video Requirements

Duration: 30 seconds to 3 minutes maximum
Format: MP4, MOV, or AVI (max 500MB file size)
Resolution: Minimum 720p HD quality
Must demonstrate clear use of AI tools in creation process
Original content only - no copyrighted material without permission
English or French narration/subtitles required

Submission Guidelines

Submit via official competition portal by December 31, 11:59 PM EST
Include completed project description form (max 500 words)
Provide list of AI tools and technologies used
Submit original project files and behind-the-scenes footage if available
Include signed consent and release forms

Judging Criteria

Technical Innovation: Use of AI tools and creativity in application (30%)
Storytelling & Content: Narrative quality and message clarity (25%)
Production Quality: Video/audio quality and editing skills (20%)
Originality: Uniqueness of concept and execution (15%)
Impact: Educational value or social benefit (10%)
